Original montgomeyr clift autographed photo. Purchased several years ago from the estate of claire koger, longtime companion of greta garbo. Ms. Kroger lived with ms. Garbo for many years and was with greta when greta died in 1990.Ms. Koger was left out of greta's will and died penniless. Shortly after her death her belongings were sold at an etsate sale where among several items were two photographs, this one of montgomery clift and the other of lana turner, which i also have up for auction. Please note this photo was scanned in and therefore looks cut off and crooked, it is not. This is a great photo and the only imperfections are mentioned herein. This photograph is of montgomery clift, who was a close and personal friend of ms. Garbo.They're friendship spanned many years where greta adn monty developed a strong relationship. Ms. Garbo met the young montgomery during his new york theater years and convinced the reluctant actor to expand his repertoire onto the movie screen, where he found success. This original photo is done in sepia tone and measures 5x 7. There is a 1/4 crease on the upper right corner that is in the boredr area and does not go into the photo itself. Other than the photo being aged this is in magnificent condition. This would be a welcomed addition to any montgomery clift ro greta garbo collector.
